Carmen Smith will be teaching the 12- to18-year-olds from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. The class will learn about writing skits and improv skills and they will perform a Saturday Night Live type show on the last day of class featuring skits they have written throughout the month.
Tuition is $60 for the month which includes class every Saturday in June and a final performance at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 25th (free to friends and family).
To register for the month of June, simply reply to this e-mail with the student's name, age, parent's name, and phone number. The instructor will call you a few days before the first class as a reminder and you will need to bring a check made out to The Acting Company for $60 on the first day of class.
I just wanted to let you all know that I have the proofs taken by First
Noele Photography and OH MY GOSH are there some great pictures and I have order sheets that she prepared especially for this group and the prices are less than half of her normal fee (we're all getting the family rate - yeah!)
Anyway, I thought perhaps we could all meet at a pizza parlor one night and everyone could look at the proofs and choose which picture they want for their free wallets and see if there are any others you'd like to purchase.
I was thinking maybe the back room of a Round Table on night this week or next. Please let me know. Or if anyone has another idea, that's fine too, just let me know but I know you will all love the pictures and want to at least get your free wallets.
Thanks again to all of you for making this such a wonderful experience!
My wife with her Mommy eyes noticed that this is the picture that got
snapped before Brandon was pulled from hiding in the back of the group. Does anyone have a shot that includes my dork of a son?
And, as a separate request, I would love to get copies of any and all
digital pictures that anyone took during the run (backstage, onstage, whatever). I am planning on making a coffee table book out of them through iPhoto. I would gladly share back out with the group, burning them onto CD, or I could even order additional books should people be interested in that. I don't suppose Chuck kept the videos taken through the "monitor" camera, cause there were several moments on stage I would love to rescue off those tapes if so.
I agree with Dana, this was a great time, and I agree with the Smiths that it was a great group and great party. I hope to run into you all again at other A.C. shows/functions.
