Tickets for the Christmas season performance of Cinderella went on sale this week at the Yuba City Mall kiosk.

Because seating is limited, it is highly recommended that tickets be purchased as soon as possible for the production of this popular play.

> Cinderella will be performed eight times beginning December 9 at the Acting Company on B Street in Yuba City.

Starring Marysville Charter Academy of the Arts high school senior Dahni Truillo as Cinderella and award-winning Yuba City actor Michael Campbell as the Prince, the Rogers and Hammerstein’s version of Cinderella features ballroom dancers, ditzy step-sisters, an evil-stepmother, well-meaning but meddlesome royal parents, and, of course, a magical fairy god-mother.

The play is directed by Wendie Marks, a professional actress who now teaches drama at the Marysville Charter Academy for the Arts.

“Thanks to the sponsorship of Dow Lewis Motors and Sierra Central Credit Union, the rights to produce the show and the associated costs are pretty well taken care of,” said Linda Plummer of BookEm Dano Productions.

“That means that ticket sales for the play will be a fund-raiser for the Acting Company,” Plummer added.

Tickets are $12 for all seats in the newly refurbished Acting
Company Theatre.

Evening performances will be at 8 p.m. on Dec. 9 - 11, and Dec. 18. Matinee performances will be at 2 p.m. on Dec. 11 - 12, and a again on December 18 - 19.
