YUBA CITY--Tickets are still available for three of the four remaining performances of "The Wiz," which opened this past weekend at The Acting Company.

The short eight performance run continues this weekend beginning at 8 p.m. Friday. There are still some tickets available for the Friday night show, along with the 2 p.m. matinees on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Saturday 8 p.m. performance has been sold out for several weeks.

The popular story of Kansas farm girl Dorothy, her dog, Toto, and all of the familiar characters of Oz is turned into a hilarious musical
comedy in "The Wiz." The Acting Company performance features many great performers from the Marysville Charter Academy for the Arts, some newcomers, including 4-year-old Summer Givens as Toto and 6'-5" Jeff Graham as a giant of a wizard, and some familiar actors from other Acting Company performances.

The comic stage design sets the tone for a magical, funny, and
whimsical musical experience with great singing and dancing.
